I am looking to coordinate a 42 mile relay in Oregon and have NO experience with relays. I am looking for advice on how to choose members of the team, what issues could cause chaos, how big a boat I should hire for a 4 person team, what additional support systems should I have in place - Basically everything and anything that might help me in the process of taking on this new chapter of my open water career.

    Welcome to the forum, @cwerhane (I don't remember seeing your name/picture).

    I just did a search in the bar at the top of the main forum page with the key words swim relay and got lots of hits. Did you already try this? Lots of info there, from MIMS relays to @suziedods 24-hour relay out west.
