Fastnet to Baltimore - Nathan Timmins

Just a bit of news - Nathan Timmins, Clonakilty, Ireland swam the Fastnet to Baltimore yesterday afternoon evening.

His line was roughly 22km long - in a time of around 6hours 30min

Good conditions and perfect timing of tides.

    Cool. A tough swim to plan due to the prevailing SW swell. Really helps to be living close to get a good window. Steve Redmond and Noel Browne have also done it iirc.

    The swim was planned for Saturday but due to forecast they went early instead. Local knowledge from Donal O'Donovan was invaluable. Think the line they picked is the most ultimate one, even though its longer - it was faster.

    There is a few wetsuit swimmers also done it, like Redmonds daughter and Sean Murray.
