The upcoming END-WET swim is 26.7 miles and is the second longest RACE (not solo swim) on the current U.S. schedule after MIMS (28.5 miles). I realize that there were several races (mainly professional) in the mid-1960's and before that were longer. However, does anyone know if there has been a longer US race since then, excluding MIMS? I can't think of any, but figured that some of the long-timers might know.
