  • Thanks for updates, @gregoc. Am watching the tracker... Good luck to her, and a following wind!

Eliza Cummings completed the Cape Cod Bay crossing with an unofficial time of 9:37. Once MOWSA ratifies the swim it will be the fastest crossing to date.

Greg: was this the swim where a year or two ago someone got very close to completion and had to get out due to shark nearby?

@Jay, that was last year. Yes, exact same course.

MOWSA has another swimmer attempting the Cape Cod Bay crossing (P2P).
Marilyn Korzekwa will be the first Canadian to make the attempt on Thursday, August 11th starting at 4:30 am.
You can track her live here: http://track.rs/3/

Sorry for the blackout. There are no cell phone towers in Cape Cod Bay and by the time we were close to Provincetown our phones were dead. Marilyn finished. Unofficial time of 13:06:55 (to be ratified by MOWSA). Marilyn would like you to know that she is the first Canadian and the oldest woman to complete the crossing. Congratulations Marilyn. Also, Marilyn covered the last 4+ miles in a building tail wind that kicked up 3 foot waves with the occasional 5 footer.
