Unfortunately I don't seem to be getting any of them done. Any chance I can get email updates or a RSS feed? Like Comments evmo Admin March 2012 edited March 2012 Bob, glad to hear we're keeping you occupied! Here's the RSS address for ALL posts:http://www.marathonswimmers.org/forum/discussions/feed.rssFor RSS feeds for individual categories, see this page:http://www.marathonswimmers.org/forum/categories/allSee comment below for correct information. Like Kate_Alexander Member March 2012 Evan - when I click the ALL posts link above, it asks me to gives me the option to "Subscribe Now" - when I do that, it adds each of the discussion threads to my favorites, which is no different than checking the forum for new postings. What's the trick? Like evmo Admin March 2012 Hi Kate - Do you use an RSS feed reader? The address ending in ".rss" above is meant to be used in a feed reader, such as Google Reader. It's useful mainly if you subscribe to lots of other feeds (blogs, etc.) and don't want to browse to each & every website to see if there are new posts. Instructions vary depending on which one you use. For Google Reader, you would copy the RSS address, click "Subscribe" in Google Reader, and paste it into the pop-up box. Then you'll be subscribed to new Forum posts.I'm not sure about the option for an email subscription, but I'll look into it! Like evmo Admin March 2012 OK, I added an email subscription service, but I haven't tested it so I'm not sure how it works. If you want to subscribe to certain categories (or ALL categories) via email, go to your profile page and click "Email Subscriptions." Check the relevant boxes, and save.Let me know if you have problems. Like njoy Member March 2012 I signed up for the e-mail subscriptions; hope it works. I find I'm coming here when I have some spare time, hoping to see new posts. Take that, Facebook. Like evmo Admin March 2012 edited March 2012 Disregard my first comment above, in response to Bob. I get what Kate is saying now: those RSS feeds are useless because they only update when new discussions are created - not for subsequent comments.ANYWAY, I think I've fixed the problem. The following RSS feeds should update for ALL comments, not just new discussions:All Categories: http://www.marathonswimmers.org/forum/discussions/comments/all/feed.rssIndividual Categories only:- General Discussion: http://www.marathonswimmers.org/forum/discussions/comments/general/feed.rss- Beginner Questions: http://www.marathonswimmers.org/forum/discussions/comments/questions/feed.rss- Cheering Section: http://www.marathonswimmers.org/forum/discussions/comments/cheering/feed.rss- Event Announcements: http://www.marathonswimmers.org/forum/discussions/comments/announcements/feed.rssThanks for your patience!
