Craig has become the first man in 47 years to complete a Farallon Island swim, in the five years since he started marathon swimming he has amassed quite the body of work, should he be inducted into the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame?

• Completed five seas of the Ocean Seven.
• First American to successfully swim the North Channel
• First male to complete a double crossing of Lake Tahoe under EC rules.
• Member International Ice Swimming Association
• Member 2013 Bering Strait relay (and by all known reports one of strongest and most reliable participants)
• Of course the most recent, the first person in 47 years to complete a Farallon Islands swim.
• Member 24 hour club
• Additionally, Craig has also pioneered several swims in Colorado, first known person to swim the length of Blue Mesa reservoir, 20-miles plus, elevation 7500 ft, also known as the poor man’s Tahoe. He has swum in lakes above timberline at around the 11,000 foot level.

Other attributes Craig brings to our sport include:

• Integrity, transparency, no secrets
• Very Personable
• Mentor, he’s always happy to help out another swimmer
• Huge advocate of the sport!

So International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame, I think he should be inducted.

As I understand it from the Conference in Cork, anybody can nominate any person to IMSHOF.

As has been the case since 1961, anyone can be nominated to the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame, a body in which nearly 300 people (including swimmers, coaches, pilots, observers and administrators) have been recognized. Typically, induction in the Hall of Fame was meant to recognize people after their retirement, but several current inductees still either compete in professional marathon races or attempt marathon swims. Nominations are voted upon annually by the board of directors who include Conrad Wennerberg (USA), Chairman Emeritus, Kevin Murphy (Great Britain) – President, Dale Petranech (USA) – Honorary Secretary, Lynn Blouin (Canada) – Area Vice President North America, Silvia Dalotto (Argentina) – Area Vice President South America, Steven Munatones (USA) – Chief Administrator Vice President, Chris Guesdon (Australia) – Programme Vice President, Stéphane Lecatt (France) – Area Vice President Europe, Philip Rush (New Zealand) – Area Vice President Oceania, Wayne Riddin (South Africa), Neville Smith (South Africa) – Co Area Vice Presidents Africa, Yuko Matsuzaki (Japan) – Area Vice President Asia, Richard Broer (Netherlands), David S. Clark (USA), Bob Duenkel (USA), Tim Johnson (USA), Pavel Kuznetsov (Russia), Marcella MacDonald (USA), Peter Van Vooren (Belgium), Michael P. Read (Great Britain), Carol Sing (USA), Shelley Taylor-Smith (Australia), Skip Storch (USA), Sid Cassidy (USA), Montserrat Tresserras (Spain), Irene van der Laan (Netherlands), Dee Llewellyn (Great Britain), Ned Denison (Ireland), Forrest Nelson (USA), Alison Streeter MBE (Great Britain), John Kinsella (USA), Patrick Winkler (Brazil), and Paul Asmuth (USA). Chris Guesdon manages the voting process. This year's nominees, not include Craig, have included several escort boat pilots. Once nominated, an individual remains on the ballot. The results of the annual ballot are announced around November each year. The inductees are recognized at the annual Global Open Water Swimming Conference.
