Showed true grit by pushing through adverse conditions to complete the swim in just under 20 hours, which is incredibly impressive to me.

Totally in awe of her. Completely. :)
  • I had no idea she was only 16. Jeez, at that age a 100 was considered 'distance'.
    The incredible fortitude.
Only a little dismayed ( jk) that it puts my 18.36 to shame.
i hope she keeps swimming. Wonderful role model for all.

And I think she is just 15? Makes it even more incredible!

Holy cow. Fantastic swim little lady. I hope she treats herself to a huge ice cream sundae!

Really a great, great achievement at such a young age.

It's clearly a very good week for the younger swimmers. Congratulations Charlotte.

Also, yesterday (5th August), Hazel Killingbeck from England completed a successful solo swim across the English Channel in 15 hours and 23 minutes. Hazel has recently turned 16 years old. Amazing achievement for one so young.

  • That's the only time you'll find me in the Top 10... or bottom 10 , which is where I am more likely found.
I am in total awe of Charlotte's fortitude at such a young age. And Hazel as well. Look out world... what ever these two young ladies put their mind to... they will succeed.
