Courage

I'm not sure what else to title this thread, but I feel it's of essential interest to marathon swimmers to reflect on the misfortune that befell John Caughlin in the Maui Channel six years ago. A few seconds that changed one man's life forever, and was the impetus for major changes in the OWS landscape in the US... which have been discussed elsewhere on this Forum.

Well I have to admit that I'm a little choked up reading this. I'm pretty sure I'm not alone on that. That is taking endurance to a whole new level.

Truly terrifying experience... to come back and once again take on that swim has to take a special kind of courage.

My heart goes out to this brave soul. I heard about this accident from another swimmer at that race. It must take a lot of heart to go back. Amazing.
