Huge congratulations to Courtney on completing her 2 way Catalina in 33 hours 13 minutes. What a feat! From the video footage, it looked pretty wavy for much of her swim. Deep respect.

So Courtney did a manahattan double (40 Bridges) in August, a Catalina double in October.... Are we on the verge of the first double triple?
And then I googled it and found this on Wikipedia (note this definition means completing all three swims twice, not necessarily doing double crossings of each.)
Double Triple Crown[edit]
Swimmers who have completed two swims each of the English Channel, Catalina, and Manhattan are said to have achieved the Double Triple Crown. The Mexican Antonio Argüelles was the first swimmer to achieve this, his first Triple Crown in 1999 and the second in 2009.
Swimmers who have achieved the Double Triple Crown are:[2][3]
Swimmer Country First Triple Crown Second Triple Crown
Antonio Argüelles Mexico 1999 2009
Tina Neill United States 2008 2012
Penny Palfrey Australia 2010 2015
Elizabeth Fry United States 2009 2016
Courtney is certainly capable of capping off with a double EC. Hope she'll go for it! :-)
Thanks guys!! What an amazing swim!! I am resting and recovering and still processing. Interesting stats Evan. I had not realized I was the first to do two of the triple crown swims as doubles!!

Huge! Congratulations!
So much fun to follow. Congrats, Courtney!!!
Fantastic achievement! I'd love to do Catalina some day. @KatieBun Do you have a link to the video?
Videos were on Courtney's Facebook feed. Utterly mesmerising. No idea how to post one on here.

Tides that I tried to swim against
Have brought be down upon my knees
Oh I beg, I beg and plead..."
Hasn't Liz Fry done the Double Triple? Perhaps Marcy MacDonald, too?

Courtney is the first person to finish doubles of two legs of the Triple Crown. Liz and Marcy have done double ECs but not Catalina or Manhattan.
