Nominees - Barra List - 2019
The Barra List (named for David Barra’s legendary 2010 season) recognizes the most prolific amateur marathon swimmers in the previous calendar year.
A list of 12 nominees was generated from an automated query on the LongSwims Database. The primary factor in the query is total distance swum; however, diversity of swim locations, current assistance, and type of swim (solo or race) are also considered. A list of verified swims for each nominee is displayed below.
MSF members and contributors voted on the 12 nominees to select a final list of five Barra List Honorees.
